Hotzhausen’s after a 5 year trip around the world!
5 Year Sailing Adventure!
Neil and Ronel and their two sons, Peter and Emile, were able to accomplish a dream that started for Neil many years ago in South Africa. He had dreamed of one day taking his family on a sailing adventure around the world, and after many years of planning, dreaming, and sheer guts, he and his wife Ronel, not only made it happen, but made a lifetime of memories in the process!
We are really glad he took some time with us and shared some very cool stories, some highlights and some ‘not-so-highlights’ of sailing through pirate infested waters near Somalia, and being dis-masted by a freak accident off the southern coast of Turkey. What seemed like a major setback and trial, was an opportunity to overcome, put the pieces back together, literally, and finish a lifelong dream. Hats off, Neil & Ronel!!
He also had some great advice of why waiting for the perfect time to take a family adventure sometimes never comes and the best plan is to set a goal and GO for it!
